Tyrone purchased the property in 2016 and completed an extensive refurbishment, with their grand re-opening on St Patrick’s Day in 2017. The Mellon Country Inn has been a mainstay on the A5 main road between Omagh and Derry/Londonderry for decades, beginning its life originally as Paddy Brown’s Bar. It’s now an 18-room hotel with Conferencing facilities, a Ballroom, and a Bar and Restaurant on site.
Our biggest asset is our location – we are central to Donegal, Tyrone, Derry/Londonderry and Fermanagh. Perfect for travellers and daytrippers alike!

Ulster American Folk Park (5 minutes away); Strule Arts Centre in Omagh; Harry Avery’s Castle in Newtownstewart; Bessie Bell and Mary Gray mountains nearby – lots of walking trails; Gortin Glens Forest Park with its play park, deer and ducks, 5 mile scenic drive, and mountain biking trail.
Dogs are welcome for a drink at the Bar, but not to stay overnight.
