I’ve walked from Portballintrae to Dunseverick many times (it’s a beautiful walk). This was the first time I started at Dunseverick and I have been amazed at the beauty of our North Antrim coastline.

Walking well-defined paths with good stiles, the sound and smell of the sea, the call of the seagulls…all of these things just added to my enjoyment. Rathlin Island can be seen on the horizon getting larger as you walk North.

Dunseverick harbour boasts the smallest church in Ireland and it’s worth a peek. This isn’t a long walk – it’s linear and about 5 miles in total, but it will take time because you have to stop so often to admire the views!

A tunnel through the rocks takes you to Port Braddan with beautiful views of Whitepark Bay. If you wish you can continue on across theĀ  the strand, eventually arriving at Ballintoy harbour, where scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed.

A lot going on for a little walk that I’d highly recommend for all ages. I throughly enjoyed it and I’m sure you will too!
