On Tuesday 26th May, armed with a drone, we set off in beautiful sunshine from Trassey car park and made our way along the valley behind Slieve Bearnagh to the saddle before making our way up Slieve Meelmore, where we stopped to take in the views and catch a quick drink.
From there, we walked across and over Slieve Meelbeg before dropping down and across to Doan. The weather was perfect – blue skies, no wind, and sun shining.

We traced our footsteps back to the saddle between Meelmore and Slieve Bearnagh and decided to make our way up Bearnagh as the weather was so good. It’s always a tough climb, especially in the heat, but it was worth it. Amazing views of the valley with the sun in the distance.
