So Anne, where are you guys based?

Causeway Coast Kayaking Tours don’t really have a base as we offer tours at various locations around the coast, though our main location would be Ballintoy Harbour.

And how did it come about?

Kayaking and getting outdoors were always hobbies of mine. When we were children, we always looked forward to getting out on the little rowing boats in Portrush Harbour. I decided to offer people the same opportunity to give kayaking a go in a way that’s suitable for total beginners.

What kinds of tours do you offer?

We offer a variety of tours, all of which are suitable for beginners. These include: Taster Sessions (little 30-minute sessions in the safety of the harbour for ages 4 to 17; 1 Hour Family Packages for 2 adults and 2 children aged 7Yrs +; 1 Hour Tours from a choice of locations; 1 Hour Guided Kayaking Tours for 1 hour at a time, suitable for 7 years and up; 2 Hour “Under the Bridge Tour” which departs Ballintoy Harbour in the direction of Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, exploring a little cave or two along the way before experiencing the rope bridge from a totally unique perspective (adults only); and Half Day Adventures departing from one location with a stop for lunch then on towards the finishing location (adults only).

Do customers need to have prior kayaking experience?

All our tours are Beginner Friendly, no experience needed – and you don’t need to be able to swim.

How many people do you take on each tour?

The maximum tour capacity is 10.

When are you open?

We operate all year round, weather-permitting.

Finally, what’s your absolute favourite thing about the business?

My favourite thing about Causeway Coast Kayaking Tours is that we give people the opportunity to try something they never thought they could, the chance to experience our coastline from a totally unique perspective!
