Percy’s Coffee: Great coffee in beautiful outdoor spaces

Percy’s Coffee is the perfect spot for a delicious caffeine boost while enjoying the outdoors. Here, owner David Frazer tells us why you should swing by next time you’re around…

What is Percy’s Coffee and where is it based?

Percy’s Coffee is an independent coffee company based in Northern Ireland. We have 3 locations: Moira Demesne, Billy Neill playing fields on the greenway between Dundonald and Comber, and Lambeg, along the towpath just outside Lisburn.

And how did it come about?

Percy’s Coffee was initially just a hobby back in 2018, providing coffee for private events. After securing our first tender with Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, we now have 3 full-time staff members and plans to expand further. We are very thankful for all our customers who have supported us so far.

What coffee do you serve?

We serve White Star coffee! Produced by a speciality roaster in Belfast, we’re a huge fan of the flavours and we love supporting another local business!

Do you sell food too?

We do! Here at Percy’s we love partnering with food distributors in the area for the tastiest treats! Some customer favourites include Flour & Dough’s famous cinnamon swirls, French Village’s toasty sausage rolls, and Ginger and Rhubarb bakes!

Tell us about the very cool seating area at your Moira location.

We spotted something similar while on a road trip in Donegal so we contacted the suppliers and ordered a couple of their pods. They are a great addition to the park and a handy way to dodge the Northern Irish weather while still enjoying your coffee.

Do you have any big plans for the future?

What’s your favourite thing about Percy’s Coffee?

The customers! Without them we wouldn’t have a business! The team of people who make it happen are also right up there; the staff, our suppliers and friends and family who work hard to make Percy’s Coffee what it is.
