Ever tried poutine? Did you know you can get it right here in Northern Ireland (Belfast, to be precise)? Check this out…
Originally from Montreal, owner Kylah Dittmar grew up eating poutine regularly and after moving to Northern Ireland 8 years ago, a gravy chip with cheese just wasn’t cutting it.
Poutine is a French-Canadian Dish that consists of hand-cut fries, cheese curds and a special gravy sauce. Toppings can then be added, such as veggies or bacon.
We also cater for Gluten Free diets and we have vegan cheese, and we offer a Canadian Traybake called Nanaimo Bars for dessert.
We sell our poutine out of a food truck called Moose II, after Moose I went on to pastures new. We have a pitch by the Big Fish in Belfast at the Donegall Quay right beside the Lagan. We are currently there Friday to Sunday, perfect for dinner al fresco by the water.
We also cater for outside events and are looking forward to events opening up more this year, and we’ve recently opened a stall at the new Common Market food hall on Dunbar street as well. On top of that, we’ve also been shortlisted for best food truck of the year from Food and Wine magazine Ireland!
We are a very friendly bunch and enjoy meeting new people coming by to order food, but we love when people come to just say hi. With a lot of people feeling isolated these days we are happy to be a nice destination for people to get out of the house, get some fresh air and just say hello!
We look forward to meeting you soon!
