We recently chatted to Adam of RNG Fitness and Nutrition and how the service he provides can help you get back in shape!

So Adam, what exactly is RNG fitness and where is it based?

RNG fitness is based in Belfast near the Ormeau Road! We’re also online both for training and nutrition services! Check out www.risengrindni.com and www.rngnutrition.com.

And how did it all come about?

I worked in the IT industry for over 10 years and decided when my son was born that I needed to get back to something that I was passionate about. I couldn’t tell him to follow his heart if I wasn’t following mine!

I’ve always been interested in fitness and trying to stay healthy so I decided to retrain as a Personal Trainer and then a nutritionist! Making a difference to a variety of different age groups and goals is really rewarding for me and I love what I do!

What can people expect when they walk through the door of RNG Fitness?

My studio is solely for 1-1 training so they can expect a completely personalised experience. The space is dedicated to them while they are there for their training session and it’s that focus on their goals that has made my business what it is today!

SHOP: Tees and Polos, made from 100% organic cotton.

Can you tell me a bit about the fitness programmes you offer?

As my range of clients varies from teenagers to busy professionals to retirees, I tailor my fitness programmes to meet the needs of their end goals. There is never a one size fits all in my experience and the service adapts to meet that. Some people focus on strength, some on general fitness and others on fat loss/muscle gain.

Can anyone join?

I’m in a position where I know the type of person that I will be able to work with and so I always have an initial consultation to not only see if they feel my service is for them but if I feel they are a good fit for RNG Fitness.

Are you open all year round?

Generally yes! COVID has meant there is a much bigger focus on online training which I had already offered, however the studio is open most of the year.

Any big plans for the future?

I’ve found the requirement for the nutrition service has steadily grown and this is something that will be expanding in 2021 both with 1-1 consultations and coaching but also from a corporate seminar aspect. Businesses are now very aware of the need for a healthy and fit workplace and the service that I offer on nutrition education is a vital part of their strategy now.

Finally, what’s your favourite thing about RNG Fitness?

My favourite thing is that no matter how a client feels walking in to the studio or before an online chat they always leave feeling better. Being able to have that impact on people is a privilege that I’ll never take for granted!
