Here’s the story behind Whiskey Cottage, a beautiful accommodation that’s a perfect base for exploring the Giant’s Causeway.

Whiskey Cottage is luxury 2-bedroom self catering holiday cottage at the Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills, Northern Ireland, accredited by Tourism NI. The cottage is located 0.5 miles from the entrance to the Giant’s Causeway and has breathtaking sea views in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the North Antrim coast. What’s more, it’s even open all year round!

The cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished with everything needed for a comfortable stay, with a south-facing patio and grass area to enjoy the long summer evenings.

Whiskey Cottage is an ideal location for a family holiday or a relaxing short break, with plenty of coastal walks, beaches and coves close by, yet within a short distance of Bushmills and other local attractions. Many of our guests return year on year.

We’d been staying at Whiskey Cottage for over 15 years, and then the opportunity arose to buy it from the original owners. Knowing the cottage and the area so well, we jumped at the opportunity so we could continue to enjoy the amazing North Antrim coast.

The cottage sleeps a maximum of 4 people. The master bedroom has a double bed with ensuite shower room, and the second bedroom has 2 single beds.

Whiskey cottage has been designed with comfort and cosiness in mind. Downstairs there’s an open plan kitchen/dining and living room, with plenty of room for 4 people to enjoy their stay.

The living room has 2 comfortable sofas for you to lounge in, while you take in the view across the fields to the Causeway coast. There’s also a TV with Freeview to allow you watch your favourite programmes. A door here leads to the outside patio area. You can listen to you favourite tunes on the hifi.

The dining area has a table that can seat up to 6 people, equipped with Denby tableware.

The kitchen is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible with an oven, hob, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. There’s even a bread maker should you wish to bake your own bread!
