The Slipway Cafe

The Slipway Cafe is a coffee shop seating 28 people, serving mainly homemade foods and good coffee. We are located within the grounds of Drumaheglis Marina and Caravan Park, a beautiful spot along the edge of the River Bann.

We took over Slipway in Oct 2018 in order to cope with our expanding customer base from our previous location. Thanks to our customers that moved with us, we were able to to develop our business even further, largely through word of mouth!

We serve a selection of coffees, from Espressos, Americanos and Cappuccinos to flavoured Lattes, including our best seller, the Biscoff and Cinnamon Latte. We also do a selection of teas, such as Earl Grey and Mint along with a selection of cold drinks and milkshakes.

At the Slipway Cafe, we provide all-day breakfast, a favourite being the potato bread stack or the breakfast salad, as well as fantastic lunches – these include homemade lasagne, quiche, toasties, paninis, wraps, stuffed potatoes (which always go very quickly) and much more, all served with a side salad. If you’re looking for a snack, visit us and chose from our homemade rhubarb/apple tarts and a selection of homemade traybakes and scones!

We’re based in an ideal location close to the incredible North Coast, with many beautiful sites nearby (we’re only a 10-minute drive to The Lake Kilrea). We’re also close to Ballymoney and Coleraine for shopping!

Slipway Cafe is open all year round from Monday to Saturday, 9am – 4:30pm. We open Sundays from March – October, and our ice cream shop is open throughout the summer months.

A workplace with a view of a tranquil river, all surrounded by nature, makes this location perfect for customers to come and relax. On top of this, our customers and staff help us to achieve a welcoming atmosphere for all.

We are currently looking at expanding our menu and are hard at work sourcing a locally-roasted coffee. Watch this space!
