Montalto Estate located just outside Ballynahinch in County Down is a beautiful five star graded visitor attraction.

Extending to almost 160 acres, the formal and woodland gardens represent a year-round attraction for visitors from near and far. Today, the gardens offers one of Ireland’s largest Alpine and winter gardens and boast an impressive 7 kilometres of walks and trails that stunningly showcase the beauty of this demesne.

Montalto Estate opened its doors to the public for the first time in September 2018 and received its 100,000th visitor by August 2019. The property offers tourists and locals a wonderful visitor experience including a café, trails, gardens and an exciting natural play area for children as well as a newly developed history trail where visitors can learn about the estate’s rich history including the location of the Battle of Ballynahinch.
