The Mourne Mountains are just thirteen miles to the south, while Strangford Lough is seven miles to the east, with numerous stretches of deserted beaches and rolling drumlin hills in between. At Denvir’s Coaching Inn Downpatrick, we take great pride in preserving the traditional charm of a country home. From the impressive 17th-century open fireplace in our restaurant to the cosy wood-burning stove in our snug lounge area, we maintain the rustic and welcoming atmosphere that makes Denvirs special.

Denvir’s is the oldest surviving Coaching Inn in Ireland that still operates as such. It is now a Grade ‘A’ listed building that has been sympathetically renovated while retaining its original character.

The Downpatrick hotel has nine bedrooms including two apartments, a cosy restaurant and our famous snug bar and lounge. There are also two function rooms for hire.
