Fantastic family friendly holiday house in the heart of Strangford village.
The Red Door is a beautiful property in the heart of picture-postcard Strangford village, Co Down. This skillfully designed modern home is deceptively spacious, sleeping up to 7. Awarded 4-star grading by the NI Tourism Board it has earned an excellent reputation, with dozens of glowing reviews.
Strangford is blessed with a range of restaurants, pubs and shops. The Ferry sails from the village across to Portaferry on the Ards Peninsula, worth it for the experience alone but the Portaferry Aquarium makes for a great day out. The National Trust Estate of Castleward (aka “Winterfell”) is located on the edge of the village. This corner of Co Down, The Lecale Peninsula, is a hidden gem with lots of offer but also close to the Mournes and Belfast.
The Red Door is very child friendly with baby cot, stair gates, baby bath, high chair and baby monitors available. Kids toys and games are provided.
You will find a welcome pack on arrival with a selection of goodies. All essential items are supplied including bin bags, washing powder, dishwasher tablets, hand wash, toilet rolls and more.
The ground floor includes a well appointed kitchen, dining area, toilet and living room with double doors opening onto a patio. The comfortable living room has wooden flooring and a stove. There are 3 smart TVs, DVD, bluetooth speakers, USB charging points and superfast broadband throughout.
On the 1st floor are 2 king size double bedrooms and a family bathroom. On the second floor the 3rd bedroom has 3 single beds. All rooms have ample storage and bedding and towels are supplied.
The garden is well maintained with a lawn and fruit trees. The patio is a sheltered sun trap with outdoor furniture, completely private. A BBQ is provided. A shed in the garden is available to store bikes or other equipment.
